The research team acknowledges the Pitcairn Settler descendants as the custodians of the land on which the project takes place. We pay respect to the Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Norfolk Island people.

The research team acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work: the Yugambeh People (Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus) and Dharug People (Western Sydney University’s Parramatta campus). We pay respect to the Elders, past and present, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded on these lands.

This research is funded by the Australian Research Council through the Special Research Initiative for Australian Society, History and Culture scheme (SR200200711). Additional financial support is provided by the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research and the Arts, Education and Law Group at Griffith University.
